Ronda Rousey was the first American female athlete to win an Olympic medal in the martial arts event of Judo, and is the newest champion in Women's mixed martial arts fighting. In both competitions Ronda Rousey has done diet experiments to cut her weight so that she could qualify to fight in a certain weight category. Ronda Rousey's mom was a judo champion and Ronda qualified for the 2004 Athens
