For our Summer issue, when it comes to natural beauty, there is no other Wonder Woman more inspiring than Indie Lee. This confident & strong New York mum embraces natural living and believes that life truly is beautiful. She has this incredible glass-is-always-half-full way of approaching her life. She describes herself as a Lover of Life. It's our absolute honour to present this spotlight article & feature about Indie Lee - our January 2012 Wonder Woman. 

 

Indie Lee. Miss Independent. 
"Indie" is a shortform for independence or independent. "Lee" means sheltered from the storm... Both words perfectly describe Indie Lee. Her storm was surviving a brain tumour. Just 3 years ago her whole life turned upside down.... "November 4th 2008, I was diagnosed with a brain tumour that changed my whole life....No one should ever have to say goodbye to their kids like that.  I'm grateful for the tumour, it changed my life for the better." 




Beauty is Energy. 
Indie explains what beauty means to her. "Beauty is an energy, it's created within. Being on a beach and just listening to the waves crash, that to me is beautiful and that natural rhythm nourishes me. That is an energy that you just can't bottle.... Life for me is beautiful. Every moment, every breath is beautiful."

Indie loves using the power of honey as a Natural Blemish Relief  for those annoying zits! 
Try this Beauty Recipe from Indie Lee for fixing those unwanted blemishes: 
1.Wash your face - preferably with an all-natural cleanser – and pat dry. 
2. Dab the Manuka honey onto the affected area 
3. Let the honey dry for up to twenty minutes or longer. Just remember, if you fall asleep with it on, your pillow will get sticky. 
4. Rinse with warm water. 
5. Put ice on the affected area for five minutes to help reduce swelling. You can use an ice pack, vodka bottle, frozen peas – whatever you find in your freezer.
